October's webinar will be presented by TDLA Employment and Workers' Compensation Committee Co-Chair Geoffrey Lindley of Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell. It will take place on Thursday October 26 at Noon CST/ 1pm EST and last one hour.
The presentation will cover recent EEOC guidance on when employee leave beyond any statutory rights (such as FMLA) may be required as a reasonable accommodation under the ADA. He will also discuss a few court cases in this area, including a recent 7th Circuit decision that appears to cut against the EEOC guidance.
