Settlement Considerations

TDLA Young Lawyer section member Dylan Gillespie with Hickman, Goza & Spragins will present this one hour webinar on "Settlement Considerations" on Monday June 4, 2018 at 12:00pm CST/ 1pm EST.

This webinar will be divided into three groups: 

• minor settlements, 
• wrongful death settlements, and 
• settlements involving a plaintiff who died prior to settlement but not as a result of the underlying accident. 

With regards to minor settlements Mr. Gillespie will discuss the pleadings, checking for liens, medical records, etc. Regarding the other two, he will discuss the implications of opening an estate, petitioning the probate court for a determination of heirs, releases, etc. He will talk through each of the settlements beginning with where a young attorney would take over the work.

One hour of general TN CLE will be applied for. The webinar link will be sent to each registrant prior to the webinar. Times shown are EST.
