The Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association is a group of lawyers primarily engaged in civil defense litigation, who have the opportunity to exchange ideas, techniques and information through our association. We also strive to improve trial practice by supporting high standards for litigation practice and courtroom manners within the adversarial system of jurisprudence. To qualify for membership in TDLA, an attorney must be a member in good standing with the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility and certify that 51% of his or her civil litigation practice is defense oriented.

New Member Information: 
The Regular and Young Lawyers TDLA membership year runs July 1 to June 30th, so you will receive an email prompting you to renew your membership in June. 

• Annual Regular Membership dues are $225/ year. 
• Annual Young Lawyer Membership (Attorneys practicing 10 years or less, for the first three years TDLA membership) are $125/ year.
