John B. Curtis, Jr. is now practicing at the law firm of Spears, Moore, Rebman & Williams, PC in Chattanooga.

The TDLA Board of Directors will be meeting on Monday, February 17 via teleconference.  Do you have any ideas or suggestions for the Board that you would like to be considered?  If so, please contact the TDLA office at tn.dla@att.net to pass along your thoughts.

TDLA's Tort Committee has organized a CLE program, which will be presented by Minton P. Mayer of Wiseman Ashworth Law Group PLC, "Reptile Theory - Taming the Lizard" on February 28, 2014 beginning at 1:00 eastern time/12:00 central time at 119 South Main Street, Suite 500, Memphis.  All TDLA members and paying non-members may participate by attendance or by teleconference.  All TDLA members may attend at no charge, non-members pay $35.00.

TDLA welcomes its newest member, Brittani Carol Kendrick of Pentecost & Glenn, PLLC.  Ms. Kendrick is a 2010 University of Mississippi Law School graduate and practices in the areas of Civil Rights and Employment.  She is sponsored by TDLA member, Brandon Gibson.

TDLA welcomes its newest member:  William "Will" Parker Woods of Allen, Kopet & Associates, PLLC, Nashville.  Mr. Woods is a 2010 University of Tennessee Law School graduate, practices in the areas of Insurance and Workers' COmpensation, and is sponsored by TDLA member, John Burleson.

TDLA welcomes its newest member:  Maria Estes Hall of Geico Staff Counsel - Law Office of David Longley, Brentwood is a 2009 graduate of law school at the University of Memphis.  She practices in the areas of Auto, Insurance Tort and is sponsored by TDLA member, Jamie Morrell.

All TDLA members are invited to participate in a free CLE program on Friday, January 31 beginnning at 9:00 a.m. eastern/8:00 a.m. central time.  The program, "Retaliatory Discharge:  Common Law Tort or Statutory" will be presented by TDLA member, Marcia McShane of Constangy, Brooks & Smith, Nashville.

Non-members may participate for $35.00.
